Senior Project Manager

Required Skills:

  • Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least four (4) years of that experience must have been as a senior PM of one or more medium sized or complex IT projects.
  • Requires the possession of (a) a bachelor’s degree, and (b) a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) (need copies of PMP & Bachelor’s degree).
  • Two (2) years of proven experience on State of California Information Technology (IT) projects in a leadership role over multidisciplinary teams that include technical and business staff and working with consultants and stakeholders (such as agency executives, contract managers, independent consultants, independent project oversight consultants, independent validation and verification consultants, and State staff).
  • Four (4) years or more medium sized or complex IT project with a cost of between $20 and $35 million dollars.
