Skills Preferred:

NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) • TCL (Tool Command Language) • Java • Python • C++ • Proficiency in working with the following data formats: XML, JSON, FRL

Experience Preferred

Command of NIEM (National Information Exchange Model), a model of standardized vocabulary enabling efficient communication across organizations.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with NIEM Justice Domain or Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM)
  • Experience with NEIM Schema Subset Generation Tool (SSGT)
  • Experience developing metamodels that integrate data models across three (3) or more source systems
  • Experience defining integrated data standards and specifications across three (3) or more organizations
  • Experience creating and presenting documentation and training to developers, business analysts, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Familiarity with terminology and data standards for law enforcement and criminal justice.

Education Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.

The position may be 100% remote The Information Systems Advisory Board (ISAB) is a multi-agency, multi-jurisdiction committee charged with the responsibility of improving information systems design, ensuring coordinated development, and providing the capability of data integration and sharing amongst the County’s Justice Agencies/Departments. ISAB is working on an initiative to establish a Criminal Justice Enterprise Integration Metamodel for the data integration and sharing it governs on behalf of the County’s Justice Agencies/Departments. ISAB is looking for a consultant with experience developing logical metamodels that integrate data models across multiple information systems and organizations. Ideally, this would be done leveraging the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) Justice domain.
