Senior Project Manager

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying PM principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least five (5) years of that experience must have been as a senior PM of one or more large or complex IT projects that are high-profile and fast-paced involving system interfaces and the development of new system interfaces.
  • Requires the possession of (a) a bachelor’s degree or equivalent university degree, and (b) a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which will be verified during the Request for Offer (RFO) process. The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience. The PMP certification must remain active for the duration of the project.
  • The Project is seeking qualified Vendor resources demonstrating a minimum of five (5) years recent and relevant experience as follows:
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience providing IV&V services to state entities including the following tasks:
  • Developing IV&V monthly activity reports.
  • Conducting risk and issue list reviews.
  • Performing traceability matrix analysis.
  • Performing system requirements evaluation.
  • Conducting system test assessment and verification.
  • Developing IV&V task reports.
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a technical capacity on IT projects similar in size and scope to the Cal AIM MCRS Project.
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience and knowledge of CDT’s California Project Management Framework and the Project Approval Lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Std. 1012 (System and Software Verification and Validation).
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent university degree.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience facilitating meetings, preparing, and giving presentations to senior-level executives.
  • Experience with implementation of “go-live” activities in healthcare/ IT Projects. 
  • Three (3) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying project management principles, methodologies, techniques, and tools on one or more complex IT project(s) in a healthcare or correctional environment. 
  • Experience with Medi-CAL or billing/claim processing systems.
