The Low Voltage Project Manager provides overall project management for low voltage systems. Low Voltage work typically consists of providing support services for the planning and installation of Network, Telephony, VoIP systems, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Access Control systems, Alarm Systems, Public Address system, and premise wiring systems. The position is responsible for successful completion of projects that can consist of new or upgrades to existing Network, Telephony, VoIP systems, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Access Control systems and premise wiring systems. The LVPM will plan and oversee multiple low voltage projects for various County of Los Angeles departments. In this position, the LVPM will conduct sites surveys to gather and document information required for the planning and implementation of new or replacement low voltage systems. The LVPM oversees technician and vendors on site, interact with clients, manage schedules and budgets, and delivers quality work within specifications. This role requires experience working with Network, Telephony, VoIP systems, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Access Control systems, premise wiring systems, construction processes, budgets, and managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.

This classification requires a minimum of (3) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible Low Voltage Project Management experience planning, designing, and installing of Network, Telephony, VoIP systems, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Access Control systems, Alarm Systems, Public Address system, and premise wiring systems.

Education Preferred:

This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or a closely related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
